Are your computers ready for April 8th?

You may have heard all the buzz about Windows XP computers no longer being supported after April 8th, and you may be thinking “I don’t need to call for support about Windows XP anyway”.  What you may not know is that Microsoft is no longer going to be providing important updates.  These updates are not just for performance or feature enhancements, rather, they are important security updates that help prevent your computer from being targeted by malicious software.  You may also be thinking “I have a good antivirus program” or maybe you just bought a corporate firewall.  Those things are important and helpful, but if you have Windows XP on your desktop computers, malicious software could find its way on your network and become a host to infect your modern server or other modern desktop computers in the office.

The security threats are very real.  There are also many rumors out there about a major virus that could infect Windows XP computers just a few days after the final security updated that will ever be released on April 8th.
