Severe Weather Possible Wednesday Night
Smyrna's Emergency Management Director advised taking necessary severe weather precautions.
A cold front pushing through north Georgia from the Mississippi River Valley could generate tornados, strong winds, thunderstorms and hail, according to the National Weather Service.Β
Metro Atlanta will be at highest risk from midnight to 8 a.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service said primary hazards are severe winds and isolated tornadoes.Β
The front is expected to move southward into Georgia through Thursday afternoon.
