Jonquil Village: What do you want to see in the next design for September?

What feedback would you have for Jonquil Village ahead of the rezoning?

The time is ticking down towards the September zoning meeting for Jonquil Village and branch is retooling their design once again. Since I broke down the details of the previous Branch proposal for Jonquil Village last month, which was rejected by the city council, what feedback would you have for Branch and the city council on the next design? What elements do you want to see at Jonquil Village?

I am attaching pictures I took of the blueprint for Branch's rejected July proposal just for reference, but I wouldn't waste too much energy on it since this Branch will be coming back soon with a new version (though in reality under time constraints, how much different can it be?). As such, I didn't take an effort for a high quality scan either and just used my phone's camera. Of course, there's plenty of copies at commdev at the Taylor Brawner House.

According to Community Development,Β  issues the city had with this proposal included but were not limited to that it wasn't mixed-use enough (it only had a few storefronts as MS indicated in my last blog entry), had a lack-luster design with poor flow, and the building being put in place of the parking deck was too sunken below grade of Atlanta Rd.

Just in case you didn't read it earlier, the proposal included in the attached imagesΒ  was completely rejected, and this design will be replaced with a new one within the next week or two. Edit - Full res images are available here:
