A little rain won't spoil Wednesday night fun

Bad weather doesn't put a damper on plans in our Smyrna-Vinings Patch.

Stormy weather has already played some havoc Wednesday afternoon as there is a power line down on Concord Road at Autumn Lane. Traffic is being detoured at Concord and Wood Valley Drive and Concord and Highview Drive.

Assuming you can avoid that travel area, then maybe make your way to the Vinings Summer Wine Stroll or other events in the area Wednesday night.

The Vinings Summer Wine Stroll is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Although, Morgan Cox, manager of Vinings Fish Co., explained “with the weather being the way it is I don’t know how many people will be strolling.”

About 500 people attended the spring wine stroll. The three stops on the summer stroll are , and Vinings Fish Co.

“We’re all featuring wine specials along the theme of international wines and some little small plates and food specials,” Cox said.

Plan ahead for the Vinings Fish Co. Chattahoochee River Keeper Dinner on June 30. Each course of this three-course meal will be paired with a beer from Sweetwater Brewery. The dinner costs $50 and includes tax and gratuity. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Chattahoochee River Keeper’s efforts to keep the river clean.

Reservations for the dinner can be made here.

in Smyrna hosts Kids Night until 8 p.m. Wednesday. Although the storm has kept the inflatable bull in its pen, there will still be live music and kids meals are only $1.
