The Second Annual Vinings Business Expo attracted almost 600 people to the in Vinings Tuesday.
“We want to give the businesses that exhibit in the expo an opportunity to grow their business and make new contacts in Vinings,” said Glenn Christian, Vinings Business Association president.
Ginger Lewis, publisher of Cobb News and Views, said about 60 people had visited her booth in the first hour of the expo. Lewis explained that she’s a member of the Vinings Business Association because she likes meeting other business owners in the area.
“It’s a great bunch of people, Smyrna, too,” she said.
Phyllis Helms, owner of Vinings Pampered Pets, attended the expo to network with some of the business owners who belong to the Vinings Business Association. Until 2002 Helms worked in the corporate world. Then she decided to start her own business.
“I started a house sitting and pet sitting business,” Helms said. “And that’s how I came about Vinings Pampered Pets. And I love it!”
But the expo wasn’t all work. There were also raffle items available from sponsors like , Pro Painting and Remodeling and the .
