Hong Kong City Flunks Restaurant Inspection

The Chinese restaurant scored a 79 on a follow-up inspection the next day.

Hong Kong City on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna didn’t make the grade at its June 7 restaurant inspection. According to the report filed with the Cobb and Douglas Public Health Department, the restaurant scored a 54 on its initial inspection and was forced to close for the remainder of the day.

In the report, the inspector said they observed raw foods stored at improper temperatures, flies throughout the restaurant, food stored uncovered throughout the facility, raw meat stored in a pan on the floor and an employee who prepared a customer’s order without washing their hands.

The restaurant was able to open the following day after passing its follow-up inspection with a 79.
