New Business Occupies Former G. Scott Location

Spartan Kitchen and Design is preparing to move in a space previously highlighted in Smyrna-Vinings Patch's Visions for Vacancies feature.

One of Smyrna-Vinings Patch’s Visions for Vacancies spotlights didn’t stay vacant for long. In March on Concord Road. Readers thought the space would be great for a café, a kids’ event center or an art gallery.

But the new business opening in the space is similar to what was there before, or at least in the same realm. Spartan Kitchen and Bath is a kitchen and bath design store that Showroom Manager Bryan Marquardt said will offer Smyrna an alternative to shopping at a big box store.

“If a client wants a kitchen we can usually turn it around from demo to about three weeks for completion, which takes a lot of wait for materials out of the equation,” he said. “Our cabinetry is in stock so we can quickly turn around installation.”

Before the store can open, the space needs a facelift. Contractors are in the process of renovating the building, and Marquardt estimated that Spartan Kitchen and Bath will be open for business in about three weeks. A grand opening is being scheduled for later this summer.
