Rev Fall Fest Saturday; Smyrna Beer Fest Pushed Back

The 5th Semi-Annual Rev Fest will be a daylong alfresco music and arts extravaganza, meanwhile the Smyrna Beer Fest at Atkins Park Tavern will now take place on Oct. 29.

It’s common knowledge that fall and spring are the prime outdoor seasons here in Smyrna-Vinings, which is why schedules its semi-annual Rev Fests during those auspicious and pleasant months.

The Rev Fall Fest on Saturday will be a daylong alfresco music and arts extravaganza featuring the talents of local artists and musicians. The mission to intermix musicians, artists, locals, and businesses in the community is a driving force behind the festivities.

Rev owner Nick Bimmerle, told Patch, “Our hope is to provide a venue for local artists to display their talents and passions while at the same time inviting the community to observe and enjoy in a comfortable and entertaining environment.”

The free festivities and music will crank up at 10 a.m., no doubt fueled by the wide variety of caffeine-laced beverages sold at Rev. Grab a mocha or chai and peruse the artists’ booths, then settle in to listen to some great tunes.

The incredible music entertainment will continue throughout the day until 10 p.m. The performing musicians and participating artists are listed here, but they include local notables Wire Method, Velvet Jesus, and Nanyana. Prepare to be bowled over by the fusion of talents in the front and side parking lots all day long.

Hungry? and DaVinci’s Pizzaria will be on hand to sell delicious, inexpensive food to starving artist, musicians, and audience members.

But think again if you had planned to hit Rev Fest early and then the Smyrna Beer Festival at late. The Smyrna Beer Fest’s date has been changed from this Saturday to Saturday, Oct. 29 to coincide with Atkins Park’s 9th Annual Halloween celebration Mark your calendars for that all day festival as there will be more than 100 beers to sample, live music, costume contests, pumpkin carving contests, bobbing for apples, and more festive events.
