Shopping For A Cause

Macy's is holding its annual charity shopping event to benefit March of Dimes this weekend. Meanwhile, The Honeybee in Smyrna is having a trunk sale featuring jewelry designer Ronda Smith.

Uber-cute boutique at 2968 Atlanta Road announces their last trunk show of the summer as jewelry designer Ronda Smith is bringing her newest designs to the ‘bee on Thursday and Friday.

The Honeybee’s owners are fanatical about celebrating and stocking local designers’ work at their bijou yellow shop. They reveal, “Ronda Smith will tell you her jewelry was born out of a love to create stylish yet affordable jewelry for women. Her designs are inspired by her faith and are both stylish and edgy.”

Doors open at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday to meet Smith and peruse her gorgeous collection. Smith has developed quite a following at The Honeybee with her one-of-a-kind necklaces and bracelets. “We can’t wait to see what she brings us this time,” Honeybee owners exclaimed.

This year's Shop For A Cause will take place at all Macy's stores, including the Cumberland Mall location, and at Macys.com on Saturday, and also on Friday in select stores only. A five-spot procures you a shopping pass which supports March of Dimes as well as scores you a smashing 25-percent off the majority of regular and sale items in the store or online. March of Dimes, which is the uppermost nonprofit organization supporting pregnancy and baby health, will receive 100-percent of every shopping pass Macy’s sells. Your shopping pass also gives you a chance to win a $500 shopping spree.

"Macy's is committed to giving back to our local communities,’’ said Macy’s Executive VP of Marketing Martine Reardon in a statement. “Our annual Shop For A Cause program, which has raised more than $38 million for local and national charities in the past five years, is meaningful for us because it gives our customers and associates an opportunity to give back to the local charities, schools and non-profits that matter a great deal to them. We are proud to offer our customers an easy way to make a positive difference while enjoying great savings at Macy's."
