K-9 Coach Bed & Bark A Leading Sponsor of 2013 Paws in the Park

K-9 Coach Bed & Bark, an award-winning, Smyrna-based dog training, boarding, grooming and playcare facility, is pleased to once again be a sponsor of Paws in the Park held on Sunday, September 29 from noon to 5 p.m. at Centennial Olympic Park.

Paws in the Park 2013 will be the third annual charity dog walk benefiting Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption. In the past two years, Paws in the Park has raised over $150,000 to directly benefit the animals at the no-kill shelter. Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption (APRA) is a non-profit, volunteer-based, no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats so they can be adopted into safe and loving forever homes.

K-9 Coach will have a booth as well as a special "Ask the Trainer" section where attendees can bring their dogs and receive complimentary training tips, guidance, and recommendations.

In addition, K-9 Coach team members and their dogs will be performing several demonstrations in a special fenced demo area. These include:

• Obedience- Amber Burckhalter, owner of K-9 Coach, will demonstrate how her dog works off-leash under complete control using positive reinforcement tools. 
• Denver Reveal - Denver is a rescue dog from APRA who had severe behavioral issues when he was rescued and for whom K-9 Coach provided complimentary training so that he was more likely to be adopted. The demo will include background information on Denver and demonstrate how awesome he is now and introduce his new family.
