Officers Cleared of Profiling Tyler Perry

CNN has reported that two officers that were under investigation for possibly profiling Actor and Director Tyler Perry, have been cleared of any possible wrongdoing.

The incident occurred in February of this year when Tyler Perry was pulled over in Southwest Atlanta after leaving his studio near Greenbriar Mall.  Mr. Perry admits to making an illegal turn, but says he was pulled over and put into a hostile situation with the 2 officers.  One officer even supposedly reached into his car to make him turn off his engine.

Trapped Motorcyclist Flown to Grady

The Georgia State Patrol has identified those involved in this morning's accident on Reinhardt College Parkway and Hickory Nut Drive.

The 22-year-old motorcyclist who had to be pulled from under a pickup truck this morning has been identified as Stephanie Marie Christ, 22, of Canton. The 62-year-old driver of the Chevrolet S-10 truck is Larry Richard Mason, 62, of Waleska.

Veterans Memorial Reopens After Police Apprehend Armed Robbery Suspect

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fulton County police after 1 p.m. Wednesday identified 28-year-old Robert Hightower as a fugitive who was wanted for committing a string of burglaries on Fulton Industrial Boulevard in southwest Atlanta.

He led police on a chase while driving a red Dodge Durango from the Six Flags Drive location where he was spotted through Lithia Springs and eventually into Mableton, the newspaper reported.

UCLA Withdraws Scholarship to Lassiter QB

The UCLA Bruins have withdrawn their scholarship offer to quarterback Eddie Printz, a move that left both his family and his coach blindsided.

Printz's father Ed had to actively seek out UCLA coaches instead of being told by them, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported. 

'I feel like a horse kicked me in the stomach," the elder Printz told the AJC. "And I feel like I let my son down because I let him commit early."
