Beer Geek Brunch Returns to Cypress Street Pint and Plate

Toast to the beginning of spring with Cypress Street Pint and Plate (http://cypressbar.com/) as they kick off Beer Geek Brunch season on Saturday, April 5th! With fourteen beers on tap, forty bottled selections, and its popular Beer Geek Tuesdays, Cypress Street Pint and Plate has become a favorite neighborhood destination of beer connoisseurs and novices alike. Featuring a menu full of fresh seasonal specialties that will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first Saturday of each month, the Beer Geek Brunch menu continues Cypress Street Pint and Plate’s efforts to give diners and drinkers the opportunity to explore all things beer in a casual and relaxed environment.
Beer Geek Brunch features three pairing options for only $15 each. Each pairing includes a specialty brunch dish paired with one of three different vintages of the Founders Breakfast Stout. For those seeking a lighter meal, brunch items may also be ordered a la carte.
The April 2014 Beer Geek Brunch menu includes:

Red Lamb Curry
Coconut jasmine rice, toasted almond relish.
Paired with 2011 Founder’s Breakfast Stout
$12 a la carte

Beef Shepherds Pie
Carrots, peas, pearl onion, aged cheddar, mashed new potatoes.
Paired with 2012 Founder’s Breakfast Stout.
$12 a la carte

Oxacan Black Mole Braised Chicken
Corn salsa. Sunny egg.
Paired with 2013 Founder’s Breakfast Stout.
$12 a la carte

Beeramisu
Tiramisu made with the 2013 Founders breakfast stout.
$12 a la carte

Beer Geeks familiar with Cypress Street Pint and Plate’s long running Beer Geek Tuesdays will recognize Merrick as their enthusiastic and informative guide. A casual exploration of all things beer, Beer Geek Tuesdays at Cypress Street Pint and Plate offer different experiences each week including food and beer pairings to rare casks and tap takeovers.
