Speakers: Leigh Burns, Preservation Planner and Certified Local Government Coordinator, Historic Preservation Division, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Mandy Elliott, Historic Preservation Planner, Cobb County.


Description:  Do you know what a preservation ordinance is or what it can do for you?  If not, this is the program for you!  Leigh Burns, from the State Historic Preservation Office, will discuss preservation ordinance basics - what it does, what it does not do, how it can benefit a city, and the parts and pieces of a typical ordinance.  Mandy Elliott, from Cobb County, will discuss how Cobb County has used their preservation ordinance as an example.  A question and answer period will follow.
