Dr. William P. Marchione, author of A Brief History of Smyrna, Georgia
Historian Dr. William P. Marchione, author of the recently published, A Brief History of Smyrna, Georgia, will discuss the research process for this book. The author of seven titles, Dr. Marchione will discuss how the process of publishing local history has changed since he began writing for publication nearly thirty years ago.

Dr. Marchione is a retired history professor who moved to Smyrna from Boston in 2009. He holds a Ph.D. in urban history from Boston College and an M.A. in American diplomatic history from George Washington University.
