Que Bonita Es Mi Tierra

The Mariachi Universitario is one of the most distinguished
musical treasures of the state of Veracruz. It is made up of musicians of
distinguished aptitude and talented youth. This fusion creates a fresh and
unique style that celebrates and transposes traditional music. In commemoration
of the celebration of the Independence of Mexico, they will be returning to
Atlanta to present "Que Bonita es mi Tierra" ("How beautiful is
my land") at the Cobb Energy Centre. This performance interprets the profound
as well as diverse music and dances of Mexico. On this special occasion, the
Mariachi Universitario will be accompanied by the astonishing International
Ballet Folklorico de la Universidad Veracruzana and an extraordinary Veracruzan
artist Ivan Velasco, who has taken harp music over the world, achieving a
fusion worthy of the best stages in the world. The show is Saturday, September
14 at 8 p.m.
