How to Dispose of Your Christmas Tree in Cobb County

There are several options available for county residents, including a tree donation event early next year.

The presents are opened, the wrapping is thrown away, and the Christmas dinner has been devoured. Now, the last tangible reminder of your Christmas celebrations is a gigantic tree in your living room.

You may ask yourself, "How do I get rid of this thing without having to drive halfway across the state?"

Luckily, Cobb County has ample opportunities for you to safely and properly dispose of your tree.

You can drop your tree off at the following locations between now and Jan. 4 to have it chipped and used as mulch or fuel:

If you want to get something back for your tree, bring it to the Home Depot on Cumberland Parkway between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the annual "Bring one for the Chipper" event. For each tree donated, Keep Smyrna Beautiful will exchange it for aΒ tree seedling or vegetable or flower seed packet.

Mulch will be freely available for county residents following Jan. 4
