Smyrna, Vinings Christmas Tree Lightings This Week

There will be three fully-illuminated Christmas trees in the hearts of Smyrna and Vinings by the end of the week.

Residents of Smyrna and Vinings have their choice of three Christmas tree lighting ceremonies happening in the area this week.

We already told you about Emory-Adventist Hospital's tree lighting, which will be on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m.

Vinings Jubilee will hold their tree lighting on Thursday at 6 p.m. The event will include live music, yummy treats, pony rides, and pictures with Santa Claus.

If you can't wait that long to get into the spirit, the City of Smyrna will kick off the Christmas season with their own tree lighting on the Village Green on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The festival begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.

The highlight of the city's "Coming Home for the Holidays" celebration is undoubtedly the tree lighting by St. Nick himself, but get to Village Green early so you don't miss out on live choral performances, kids activities, and a Christmas parade.
