Thanksgiving Holiday Alters City Waste Collection
There will be no yard waste collection during the week of Thanksgiving.
Prepare to possibly change your garbage day as the holidays approach.
During the week of Thanksgiving, there will be no yard waste collections because city sanitation workers will be using Wednesday to pick up garbage they would normally collect on Thursday and Friday, the City of Smyrna reminded citizens through its Facebook page Thursday.
Monday and Tuesday garbage pickup during the week of Thanksgiving will go on as scheduled.
The city said that it will reveal more information on operation hours of other city services during the holidays as the relevant holidays approach.
