Turn the lights on
Adventure Outdoors flips the light on switch today at its brand new 78,000 square-foot South Cobb facility, while tree lighting ceremonies are on the holiday horizon in Smyrna-Vinings.
Get some holiday shopping done early and celebrate the opening of Adventure Outdoors new, larger location at 2500 South Cobb Drive in Smyrna. The new 78,000-square-foot store opened Tuesday, Nov. 15 and features a 17-lane indoor rifle and pistol range, a cafe and more than 10,000 guns.
To celebrate the opening, Adventure Outdoors is offering 20 percent off 5.11 clothing and 10 percent off Russell, Browning and Reloading clothing as well as tree stands.
Etc. East gets in on the holiday shopping action later in the week. This Vinings Jubilee accessories boutique is hosting a Heather Moore trunk show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Heather Moore Jewelry’s charms are hand stamped with vintage tooling and made from recycled precious metals.

Mark those calendars now for tree lighting festivities in the coming weeks. Smyrna’s tree lighting ceremony, “Coming Home for the Holidays,” features musical performances at the before Santa lights the Christmas tree on Village Green at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. Holiday activities downtown are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Shops at Smyrna Market Village will be open for dinner and Christmas shopping during the ceremony.
Vinings Jubilee will hold its tree lighting ceremony Thursday Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Revelers enjoy holiday fun like train and pony rides, face painting and balloons. Kids can have their photo taken with Santa.
