Lemonade Stand to benefit Keep Smyrna Beautiful Memorial

Lemonade Stand to benefit Keep Smyrna Beautiful; Todd Giordano Memorial planned for October 1, 2012

The family of Todd Giordano of Smyrna is hosting a lemonade stand on September 22, 2012 from 11-2 at the corner of Concord Road and King Street to benefit Keep Smyrna Beautiful.  The money raised will help develop a memorial at the pond for Todd Giordano, who passed away last October 1 at age 42 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. His family, along with many friends, is dedicating a site near the pond in his memory.  The Todd Giordano Memorial consists of a water feature, swing and a sundial.

"Todd used to take our daughters, Isabella 4 and Mia 2, to the Duck Pond to enjoy the outdoors," said his wife Elizabeth."He loved making it a wild outdoor adventure for them, and its only fitting that his love of nature with all the sights and sounds has been passed on to our children," she added. "Jon Levine, owner of Stone Forest materials in Kennesaw, and dozens of volunteers joined together to make the memorial possible," said Elizabeth. The City of Smyrna and Keep Smyrna Beautiful approved the project and are accepting donations to help defray the cost of construction. Those wishing to make a tax deductible donation are asked to send a check to:
