Cowlicks Yogurt and Floats Team with Sue Rodman to Raise Awareness and Funds for Alzheimer's Disease

For some philanthropic fun, Cowlicks has partnered with popular family travel blogger Sue Rodman, of Field Trips with Sue, for their Famous Floats series to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

As summer winds down, continues to up the philanthropic ante with its Famous Floats series. Sue Rodman, a popular mom-centric writer at her eponymous blog, “Field Trips with Sue,” now teams up with the fro-yo favorite for the Memory Maker Float. Rodman’s custom creation is available through October 10 and benefits the Alzheimer’s Association.

The themed float fuses Cowlicks’ rich cake batter yogurt and nonfat cookies and cream yogurt with a splash of Barq’s root beer for the perfect concoction. Through October 10, 20 percent of all float sales will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association works nationally, as well as globally, to provide the best care and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The goal of the association is to accelerate the process of new treatments and ultimately find a cure.

“I’m very excited to work with Cowlicks Yogurt and Floats. Frozen treats are my favorite, and I love the charity angle” said Rodman. “Being able to enjoy a cool, fizzy float while supporting a worthy cause is so much fun. I know Atlanta-area families will enjoy this sweet philanthropic treat, too.”

Rodman, a mother of three boys, provides her readers with ideas and reviews on family-friendly activities in and around Atlanta. “Field Trips with Sue” is Nickelodeon Parent’s Pick winner and a Parents.com award nominee. Rodman is also a contributing writer for several travel-focused outlets.

“As a parent, I have been a reader of ‘Field Trips with Sue’ for some time,” said Cowlicks owner Daryl Dollinger. “Many of our customers are also avid fans, so we are thrilled to bring Sue to the Cowlicks community. We always see a positive response during out Famous Floats series, and we’re excited to continue giving back.”

Cowlicks will offer the Memory Maker at the Sandy Springs and Vinings locations through October 10. Cowlicks Yogurt and Floats in Sandy Springs is located at 1100 Hammond Drive in the Publix Perimeter shopping center. Cowlicks Yogurt and Floats in Vinings is located at 2460 Cumberland Parkway at the corner of Paces Ferry Road and Cumberland Parkway.

This is Garrison Plantation - Garrison Lakes - Lakefront Vista. I lived there when it was familyRead More owned. It went from sister to brother then sold. Changed name from Garrison Plantation (because it wasn't PC) (but no one thought about what a garrison was) to Garrison Lakes (there's only one lake) to Lakefront Vista (under new ownership.) It's a dump now. The layout and size of the apts. are great. Even the location is great. Still know some people there. But it went downhill.

During the anti gay lifestyle debacle it gave out copies of the 10 Commandments. That anti gay resolution drafted by Gordon Wysong and enacted by the Cobb Co. Commissioners cost the county an Olympic venue. Whenever I hear about that church I think of the OM who called the church's prominent members The Marietta Mafia!

No wonder many young people, the vast majority of whom are or will be heterosexual find the church increasingly irrelevant in their lives with attitudes like this.
