Are You Feeling Lucky on Friday the 13th?
Today is Friday the 13th so be careful of black cats and walking under ladders. Do you consider yourself superstitious?
It happened again, today is Friday the 13th. According to Wikipedia there are many reasons this day gets a bad rap, one being that 13 is conisdered an unlucky number and Friday is thought to be the unluckiest day of the week. This Friday the 13th isn't the first of 2012 and won't be the last. January 13 fell on a Friday as will July 13.
What are some of your favorite superstitions? Do you avoid stepping on cracks in the sidewalk? Are you afraid to open an umbrella in the house? My sweet Southern granny always told me that if you slept with a piece of wedding cake under your pillow you'd dream about the man you would marry. I never tried it, but I imagine you'd just end up with icing in your hair.
