Dennis James Ogden, 67, Worked 35-Plus Years for Kroger

Mr. Dennis James Ogden, age 67, of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.  He was born on August 28, 1946, in Troy, New York, the son of the late Russell James Ogden and the late Evie Lusk Ogden.  He retired from Kroger after 35+ years.  He was a member of Atlanta West Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hamrick Ogden of Smyrna; children and their spouses, Steven “Mark” and Jennifer Ogden of El Paso, Texas, Jimmy and Angel Townsend of Douglasville, and Jason and Gracie Townsend, of El Paso, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Chester Crowley of Austell; grandchildren, Chanson, Hunter, Sophia, Jacob, Austin, and James; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, 2960 Skyview Drive, Lithia Springs, Georgia 30122, with Pastor Darrell Johns, Reverend Brad Fain, and Reverend Rick Hall officiating. 

The Graveside Committal Service will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. CST (4:00 P.M. EST) from the Nances Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama with Austin Townsend, Charlie Waters, Jacob Townsend, Eric Montgomery, and Jim Gill serving as Pallbearers.  Chanson Ogden and Hunter Ogden will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, 2960 Skyview Drive, Lithia Springs, Georgia 30122, on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
