Myrtle Joan Sutton Williams, 90, Longtime Smyrna Resident

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 20 at Lithia Springs First Baptist Church.

Myrtle Joan Sutton Williams, age 90, of Lithia Springs, passed away June 18, 2014, at WellStar Douglas Hospital. She was born in Manchester, GA to Daniel Washington Sutton and Annie Mae Weldon Sutton. 

Myrtle was a longtime Smyrna resident, well over fifty years, before moving to Lithia Springs in 2006. She worked for more than twenty years in the Cobb County School System as a food service worker. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Williams. Survivors include daughters; Linda (Leon) Maples of Douglasville, Susan Parkey of Austell, Cynthia Jean Bentley of Lithia Springs, Cheryl (Michael) Weems of Anderson,SC, Anita Graham of Douglasville; sons, David Williams of Mableton, Michael Williams of Lithia Springs, Matt Williams of Hirum; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 20, 2014 at Lithia Springs First Baptist Church with Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park. Visitation will beThursday from 2:00PM-8:00PM at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton.
