Bestselling Author Joshilyn Jackson Visits Smyrna

New York Times bestselling novelist Joshilyn Jackson will appear at Smyrna Public Library this morning.

Residents have the chance to meet New York Times bestselling author Joshilyn Jackson at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Smyrna Public Library. Her presentation this morning is titled "Breaking Ground on a New Novel: Where and How Do Books Begin."

Jackson, an award-winning Southern fiction novelist known for her twisted plots and unique sense of humor, will speak about the landscape that gave rise to her fifth book, A Grown-Up Kind of Pretty. She'll also be answering questions about reading, word play, process and the writing life.

Her new book, Someone Else’s Love Story, is set in Atlanta and will come out in November. Jackson lives in Decatur, Georgia with her husband, Scott, and their two children, Sam and Maisy Jane.

This event is part of Smyrna Public Library's "Groundbreaking Reads" Adult Summer Reading program. Another author, Anthony Grooms of Bombingham, will appear on July 9. The events are free of charge, and refreshments will be served.
