10 Cobb Officers Graduate
They were among 32 metro area law enforcement officers who graduated from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy.
Thirty-two officers recently graduated from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy, and 10 are from Cobb-area law enforcement agencies.

The 10-week academy covered state laws, criminal procedures, firearms, emergency vehicle operations, defensive tactics, search and seizure, and other law enforcement related subjects.
Kennesaw's Steketee finished at the top of the class and was elected class president. Marietta's Van Ness was given the Marksmanship Award for scoring the highest overall average on the firing range.

Jackson and Ryan D. Taylor of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office; Joshua D. Downer of the Cartersville Police Department; Rachel L. Gomez, Aaron A. Roddy and Joshua P. Wolf of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office; Vincent L. Banks of the Floyd County Police Department; Christopher P. Brady, Jerry J. Duke, and Christopher T. Snyder of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office; Rebecca J. Gravely of the Milton Police Department; Adam G. Mixon of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office; Andrew J. Kirk and Shelby E. Sanford of the Roswell Police Department; and Spencer C. Crawford and Cassie E. McDonald of the Villa Rica Police Department.
