Armed Man in Ski Mask Robs South Cobb Drive Business

Georgia Auto Pawn was victimized by an armed robber about a year ago.

The Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating a Friday night armed robbery at the Georgia Auto Pawn in unincorporated Smyrna.

According to Cobb Police Officer Mike Bowman, a man wearing a ski mask, black gloves and dark-tinted sunglasses entered the South Cobb Drive business at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Armed with a silver revolver, he demanded an employee to open the cash register, and then fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The business, located at 2000 South Cobb Dr. just south of Pat Mell Road, was victimized by an armed robbery about a year ago.

The perpetrator is described as standing 5-foot-9 and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was also wearing dark jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
