Cobb Police Discover Motive Behind Sunday's Triple Shooting

It is believed that a domestic dispute was the cause of the shooting which left three people dead inside an apartment complex off of Delk Road.

The Cobb County Police Department has uncovered the chain of events that caused Sunday afternoon's triple killing in an apartment complex off of Delk Road.

According to a department release, evidence and witnesses show that 45-year-old Pericles Demoura entered apartment 20J of the Ivy Ridge Apartment HomesΒ at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Inside the apartment were his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend.

The report says that Demoura shot and killed both people, 35-year-old Thelma Vinhal and 30-year-old Euclides Guinato-Bernades, then turned the gun on himself.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office will now ascertain the manner and cause of death for all three people.
