Drugs Found Under Smyrna Man's Genitals

He is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

A clear plastic bag containing nearly 42 grams of marijuana was found under the genitals of a Smyrna man, police said.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Smyrna police found the bag as well as 16 individually packaged capsules with a clear, crystal-like substance that tested positive for crystal methamphetamine, according to an arrest warrant for Eric Joseph.

"Accused also did have in his possession a large quantity of empty clear capsules, which are known to be used in sale of illegal narcotics," police said. "Said methamphetamine  with the packaging, weighed approximately 2.8 grams. Based upon affiant's training and experience, the quantity of methamphetamine  together with the packaging, and empty capsules, is consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine."

Joseph was arrested early Friday on charges that included possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and marijuana possession. He remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
