Fire Displaces Family at Glendale Apartments

Nobody was injured in the fire.

A Smyrna family is without a home tonight as a fire destroyed their apartment on Glendale Place.

According to Smyrna Fire Department Acting Chief Roy Acree, nobody was injured in the fire that broke out at the Glendale Apartments at 640 Glendale Pl. Friday afternoon.

A witness on the scene said that six trucks responded to the blaze and that the fire appeared bigger than it actually was.

Acree said that the cause of the fire is under investigation, but initial evidence points towards the fire beginning in the kitchen of the unit.
