Fire Heavily Damages Vinings Home

No one was injured in a house fire at 2959 Bakers Farm Road in Vinings.

No injuries were reported after a fire heavily damaged a Vinings home Saturday. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

According to Cobb County Fire Department officials, firefighters arrived at 2959 Bakers Farm Road at about 1:20 p.m. to find the home engulfed in flames. Fire was showing through the two-story home’s front and rear and through the center of its roof, which had begun to collapse.

The fire was largely extinguished after an hour, but units remained on the scene for the next seven hours to ensure the fire was fully put out. The homeowner was not in the house at the time of the fire. An investigation into the fire’s cause is ongoing.
