Local Youths to Honor Law Enforcement

It's Public Safety Appreciation Week, and Cobb Alcohol Taskforce Youth Council will be showing appreciation Saturday to members of 22 local law enforcement agencies.

Middle and high school aged youth members of the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce Youth Council will be baking and delivering baked goods and thank you notes to 22 law enforcement agency locations around Cobb County thisΒ  Saturday as part of Public Safety Appreciation Week.

The youth leaders said they wanted to express gratitude for all the support they have received from law enforcement. Local law enforcement support of Cobb Alcohol Taskforce efforts has been, and continues to be, vital in keeping the public safe and protecting youth from the dangers of underage and youth binge drinking, states in a release by the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce.

Cobb Alcohol Taskforce Youth Council is a youth-led movement made up of middle and high school aged youth with a goal of coming together to make a difference in underage and youth binge drinking. Throughout Saturday, the Youth Council will be visiting local police precincts in Smyrna, Acworth, Austell, Cobb, Kennesaw, Marietta and Powder Springs.
