UPDATE: Man Gets Life for Cumberland Mall Murder

Rosano Wensley Bundel, 28, of Douglasville was found guilty of killing George B. Tabetando in a counterfeit money deal gone bad outside Cumberland Mall.

UPDATE: Rosano Wensley Bundel will serve life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of George B. Tabetando, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Bundel was found guilty Monday of shooting Tabetando outside Macy's in Cumberland Mall during Thanksgiving weekend 2011.The AJC said that a DEA agent testified at Bundel's trial that he was also being investigated in connection with a drug smuggling operation.

that Rosano Wensley Bundel, 28, of Douglasville, met 29-year-old George B. Tabetando of Powder Springs outside . The AJC reported that the purpose of the meeting was to conduct a deal involving counterfeit money.

Apparently the deal went bad and the two men began fighting, witnesses said. Then witnesses said Bundel fired several shots at Tabetando while chasing him into the roadway. Bundel fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW.

Tabetando was taken to in Smyrna where he died from his injuries.

Investigators launched a search for Bundel who ultimately turned himself in to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center at the advice of his attorney.Β
