Roommate Charged With Murder of Man Found in Chattahoochee

Hajja Kenyatta Martin, 39, of Decatur was arrested Saturday without incident.

The suspect who police believe killed the man found last week in the Chattahoochee River has been arrested without incident, said Cobb County police.

Hajja Kenyatta Miller, 39, of Decatur was arrested Saturday by Cobb County Fugitive Investigators and U.S. Marshal’s Regional Task Force. According to Martin’s arrest warrant, he is charged with aggravated assault and felony murder. Investigators believe Miller shot 39-year-old Ralph Taco McGhee in the head. The two men were believed to be roommates.

This isn't the first time Martin has been arrested. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Martin was sentenced to two years in federal prison in 2009 for assaulting a pregnant postal worker. The letter carrier refused to give him a package because the address on the ID he provided did not match that on the package. Martin then reached inside the truck, put it in park and pinned the letter carrier down so he could remove the package. He then fled the scene. It was later discovered that the package contained marijuana.
