New Cobb Police Database Launched

The database will permit Cobb residents to perform their own searches for area incidents and accidents.

In part because of budget cuts, the Cobb Police Department is devoting more time to investigating property crimes and limiting the time that it spends on administrative tasks.

That’s why the department is replacing the “Crime Update’’ page compiled at each precinct with a searchable database that will permit residents to perform their own searches. The new database can be found here.

The page was part of the Police Email Notification System (PENS) and neighborhood watch program. The PENS email account will continue to be monitored and the quarterly PENS meets will continue as scheduled.
