One Killed in Overnight Shooting

Smyrna police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person dead.

During the shooting at a home near South Cobb Drive, multiple shots were fired, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News that the gunman knocked on the front door, and after someone inside told the gunman, β€˜we don’t know you,’ the door closed and the gunman fired multiple shots before fleeing.

At least one shot went through a bedroom wall, striking and killing Kenneth Anderson, 48. Another inside was not hurt.

Smyrna police have not released the name, age or gender of the person killed, but believe the motive was drug-related.
