Police Nab 2 Burglary Suspects in Smyrna, Looking for 3rd

Late Wednesday morning incident resulted in the alleged burglary suspects crashing their car into a fence off Paces Ferry Road.

Cobb police have captured two burglary suspects and are actively searching for a third after a short car chase resulted in the suspects wrecking their vehicle in the Smyrna area late Wednesday morning.

WSB TV first reported the breaking news during its noon broadcast indicating that the accident, which resulted in the car crashing into a fence, occurred at the intersection of Orchard and Paces Ferry roads near Interstate 285.

According to the news outlet, two of the suspects fled the scene on foot. One was quickly apprehended and police now have two suspects in custody.

Cobb police have confirmed the incident began when the males were observing taking items from the Magnolia Vinings apartments on Cumberland Boulevard. A Cobb officer was close by when the dispatch came and in and was quickly able to locate the described car and gave chase down Paces Ferry.

Two Cobb police cars sustained damage in the chase but no officers suffered injuries. This is a developing story.
