Porsche Coupe Sought in Deadly Hit-and-Run

Investigators have narrowed down the make of the vehicle responsible for Saturday's death of a motorcyclist on I-75 near Windy Hill Road.

Cobb police are searching for a Porsche coupe that they believe is responsible for a fatal accident involving a motorcyclist Saturday night on I-75 near Windy Hill Road. 

Police on Tuesday said that investigators think the vehicle is a grey Porsche 944, either grey or silver silver and made between 1986 and 1991 (photos attached of vehicles with similar make and color).

Emanuel R. Mitchell, 31, of Norcross, was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said he was thrown from his motorcycle around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday when the driver of the Porsche moved into his lane and caused a collision.

The driver of a Mazda also involved in the accident, Sonni Smith, 23, of Atlanta, was not injured and is not expected to face charges. 

Cobb police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call 770-499-3987.
