Smyrna Citizens Police Academy Graduates a Dozen

Future academy classes will be posted on the City of Smyrna website.

The second Smyrna Citizens Police Academy graduated on Monday, April 21, as the 12-person class completed the 11-week academy, which started on February 19, 2014. 

The Citizens Police Academy met one night a week for three hours and was taught by several instructors from the Smyrna Police Department. The Academy covered a variety of topics such as:

· Criminal Investigations

· K-9 Operations 

· Constitutional Law 

· Jail Tour
