Fire Chief Out in Smyrna

The City of Smyrna has deemed the issue "a personnel matter" and has chosen not to reveal further information.

The City of Smyrna is again looking for a new fire chief.

A city spokesperson told Patch that there would be no official comment from the city, as it is being deemed a "personnel matter."

Paige Day was called a "unique and driven leader" by Councilman Ron Fennel when first hired at the end of last year.

Deputy Fire Chief Roy Acree, who was named acting chief following the resignation of Jason Lanyon will again become the city's acting fire chief.
