Smyrna Fire Displaces Residents of Five Apartment Units

There were no injuries reported and a puppy was rescued in the Sunday morning blaze.

A spokesperson with the Cobb County Fire Department said an apartment fire Sunday in Smyrna displaced residents of five apartment units.

The fire at the Ashbrooke Crossing apartments on Tibarron Parkway broke out after 10 a.m. accoring to Cobb Fire Public Information Officer Denell Boyd.

There were no injuries reported and a puppy was rescued. The fire may have been started by a grill.

Fire damaged three apartments and water damage two others at the complex located in the southern portion of Smyrna in an unincorporated part of the county.
