Smyrna Police Seize Nearly 2 Pounds of Cocaine

Anonymous tip led to the arrest of three people last week.

According to Smyrna police, a recent anonymous tip led to the arrest of three people who were charged with felony cocaine trafficking and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The Smyrna Street Crimes Unit (SCU) received the drug complaint regarding a home at 590 Plaza Drive in Smyrna. On April 24, at approximately 2 p.m., the Smyrna S.W.A.T. team executed a search warrant for Smyrna SCU at that address.

Upon execution of the search warrant, the SCU located a total of 1.98 pounds of cocaine.

Charles Johnson; 29, Alexis Cockrell; 19 and Carla Long; 47, all were arrested and transported to the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility.
