Smyrna Restaurant Fight Leads to Arrest

A man is in custody after police say he attacked another man and threatened to blow up the restaurant.

A Canton man is in custody at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center after Smyrna police say he attacked his brother and threatened employees at a restaurant on Highlands Parkway.

According to the Marietta Daily Journal, 49-year-old Michael Joseph Comastro got in a heated argument with his brother at Chicago Pizza and then assaulted him. The MDJ reports that Comastro's brother suffered superficial neck wounds.

Comastro is also accused of threatening to blow up the restaurant and to beat an employee to death.

Comastro was arrested on Dec. 28 and has been charged with two counts of felony terroristic threats and acts and one count of misdemeanor simple battery. He is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
