A man police believe is a serial armed robber is on the loose following holdups in Roswell and Cobb County.

Roswell Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect they believe robbed the CVS store at 1380 Woodstock Road on Sunday.

Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police Department the suspect in that robbery is believed to be the same man who held up a Shell station at 2678 Windy Hill Road in Cobb this morning.

In the Roswell case, a white male entered the CVS store and demanded money and cigarettes from the cashier while pointing a gun at her. The suspect left the area in a green or blue older model hatchback vehicle with a white female passenger.

Holland said the suspect is described as a white male, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and between 150 to 170 pounds. He has short brown hair and was wearing a black jacket with the Air Jordan red logo on the upper left chest, black baseball cap with a white logo on the front and jeans.

In the Cobb case, police say a man entered the Shell station shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday and walked about the store. He made a small purchase at the counter and demanded money from the cashier when the register opened, Cobb Police Officer Michael Bowman said.

Bowman said the suspect left the store with cash and other items and drove away in a black vehicle, possibly a Toyota with a back spoiler, and was last seen heading toward Interstate 75.

Cobb Police gave a same general description of the suspect as in the Roswell robbery. In addition to wearing a black jacket with the Air Jordan logo, Bowman said the man's black baseball cap may have had the insignia of the Boston Red Sox or Detroit Tigers.
