This Week in Smyrna Crime: Aug. 17-23

As usual, the Smyrna Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Smyrna between Saturday, Aug. 17 and Friday, Aug. 23:

• On Aug. 17 at 2:33 a.m., a driving improper right turn was reported in the 1800 block of Balmoral Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 2:33 a.m., a simple assault/battery was reported in the 1800 block of Balmoral Road Southeast.
  
• On Aug. 17 at 2:33 a.m., a driving improper lane change (no signal) was reported in the 1800 block of Balmoral Road Southeast.
  
• On Aug. 17 at 2:33 a.m., a DUI (alcohol) was reported in the 1800 block of Balmoral Road Southeast.
  
• On Aug. 17 at 4:26 a.m., a public offense (affray, etc) was reported in the 300 block of Pat Mell Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 4:26 a.m., a public drunkenness was reported in the 300 block of Pat Mell Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 8:00 a.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 2300 block of South Lincoln Trace Avenue Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 10 a.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2400 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 5:25 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 8:00 p.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 2300 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
• On Aug. 17 at 10:41 p.m., a simple assault/battery was reported in the 2400 block of Post Village Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 18 at 11:00 a.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a residence in the 1800 block of Roswell Street Southeast.
• On Aug. 18 at 4:30 p.m., a burglary without forced entry was reported at a residence in the 1400 block of Forest Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 18 at 9:52 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2600 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 19 at 2:30 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 600 block of Concord Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 20 at 7:00 a.m., fraudulent activity was reported in the 400 block of Pineview Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 20 at 7:00 a.m., a welfare check on a person was carried out in the 400 block of Pineview Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 20 at 12:00 p.m., an automobile was reported stolen from the 1600 block of Roswell Street Southeast.
• On Aug. 21 at 5:00 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported i the 2700 block of Woodland Terrace Southeast.
• On Aug. 21 at 6:02 p.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a residence in the 2300 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
• On Aug. 22 at 2:00 p.m., a sex offense (other) was reported in the 2100 block of Lake Park Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 22 at 2:30 p.m., a larceny (items from vehicle) was reported in the 2500 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
• On Aug. 22 at 3:28 p.m., a larceny (items from vehicle) was reported in the 2600 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
• On Aug. 22 at 10:30 p.m., a simple assault/battery was reported in the 2100 block of Valley Oaks Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 23 at 11:05 a.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Avenue Southeast.
• On Aug. 23 at 1 p.m., fraudulent activity was reported in the 2700 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 23 at 11:26 p.m., a wanted person was arrested in the 2700 block of Spring Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 23 at 11:26 p.m., a public offense (affray, etc) was reported in the 2700 block of Spring Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 23 at 11:26 p.m., a public drunkenness was reported in the 2700 block of Spring Road Southeast.
