This Week in Smyrna Crime: Aug. 24-30

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Smyrna Police Department.

As usual, the Smyrna Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Smyrna between Saturday, Aug. 24 and Friday, Aug. 30:

  • On Aug. 24 at 12:30 a.m., a burglary without forced entry was reported at a residence in the 500 block of Floyd Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 2:00 a.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2000 block of Park Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 9:00 a.m., a fraud (illegal use of credit / financial transaction card) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., damage to property was reported in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., a wanted person was arrested in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., cruelty towards a child was reported in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 10:42 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 24 at 11:22 p.m., an automobile was stolen from the 2600 block of Spring Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 25 at 11:30 a.m., an automobile was stolen from the 2200 block of Atlanta Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m., suspicious activity/person was reported in the 1600 block of Roswell Street Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 12:00 a.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 12:00 a.m., fraud (illegal use of credit or financial transaction card) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 4:29 a.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported in the 1000 block of Dell Avenue Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 5:45 a.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2600 block of Atlanta Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 8:00 a.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 8:00 a.m., lost and found property was reported in the 800 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 12:00 p.m., a fraud (impersonation) was reported in the 2000 block of Lake Park Drive Southeast.
  • On Aug. 26 at 12:38 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
