This Week in Smyrna Crime: Aug. 24-30

As usual, the Smyrna Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Smyrna between Saturday, Aug. 24 and Friday, Aug. 30:

• On Aug. 24 at 12:30 a.m., a burglary without forced entry was reported at a residence in the 500 block of Floyd Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 2:00 a.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2000 block of Park Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 9:00 a.m., a fraud (illegal use of credit / financial transaction card) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., damage to property was reported in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., a wanted person was arrested in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 8:08 p.m., cruelty towards a child was reported in the 900 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 10:42 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 24 at 11:22 p.m., an automobile was stolen from the 2600 block of Spring Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 25 at 11:30 a.m., an automobile was stolen from the 2200 block of Atlanta Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m., suspicious activity/person was reported in the 1600 block of Roswell Street Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 12:00 a.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 12:00 a.m., fraud (illegal use of credit or financial transaction card) was reported in the 2400 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 4:29 a.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported in the 1000 block of Dell Avenue Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 5:45 a.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2600 block of Atlanta Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 8:00 a.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 8:00 a.m., lost and found property was reported in the 800 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 12:00 p.m., a fraud (impersonation) was reported in the 2000 block of Lake Park Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 12:38 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2900 block of Lexington Trace Drive Southeast and Corn Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 9:07 p.m., a simple assault/battery was reported in the 3100 block of Highland Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 26 at 10:00 p.m., a street robbery (strongarm) was reported in the 5200 block of Ward Street Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 8:00 a.m., a larceny (from mail) was reported in the 500 block of Wooddale Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 11:59 a.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 400 block of Concord Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 12:25 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 400 block of Concord Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 12:35 p.m., a counterfeiting (free text) was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 12:37 p.m., a larceny (other offenses) was reported in the 4000 block of Hawthorne Circle Southeast.
• On Aug. 27 at 12:40 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Avenue Southeast.
•  On Aug. 27 at 1:00 p.m., child neglect was reported in the 100 block of Chateau Way Southeast.
• On Aug. 28 at 8:00 a.m., fraud (impersonation) was reported in the 800 block of Windy Hill Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 28 at 1:29 p.m., a simple assault/battery was reported in the 1900 block of Inverness Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 28 at 2:41 p.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 28 at 10:10 p.m., a street robbery (gun) was reported in the 1800 block of Davie Circle Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 12:00 a.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2500 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 9:15 p.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a residence in the 1 block of Fair Haven Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 11:45 a.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 1600 block of Roswell Street Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 1:45 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2500 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 1:52 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2100 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 4:00 p.m., a misdemeanor shoplifting was reported in the 2500 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 4:00 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2500 block of Cumberland Boulevard Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 5:32 p.m., a larceny (other) was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 10:46 p.m., a rape (other weapon) was reported in the 2900 block of Highland Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 10:46 p.m., an aggravated assault/battery (other weapon) was reported in the 2900 block of Highland Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 29 at 10:46 p.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a residence in the 2900 block of Highland Drive Southeast.
• On Aug. 30 at 7:59 a.m., a fraud (impersonation) was reported in the 2600 block of Atlanta Road Southeast.
• On Aug. 30 at 10:49 a.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Avenue Southeast.
• On Aug. 30 at 10:49 a.m., police obstruction (fleeing, interfering with emergency call, etc.) was reported in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Avenue Southeast.
