This Week in Smyrna Crime: Jan. 4 - 10

As usual, the Smyrna Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Smyrna between Saturday, Jan. 4 and Friday, Jan. 10:

• On Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m., a shoplifting (misdemeanor) was reported in the 600 block of Windy Hill Road.
• On Jan. 5 at 1:45 p.m., a larceny (other offenses) was reported in the 2300 block of Spring Road.
• On Jan. 6 at 8:07 p.m., a robbery (motor vehicle hijacking, etc) was reported in the 1000 block of Windy Hill Road.
• On Jan. 6 at 9:23 p.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 200 block of Village Green Circle.
• On Jan. 7 at 2:05 a.m., a robbery (business, gun) was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive.
• On Jan. 7 at 12:30 p.m., a larceny (sudden snatching) was reported in the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive.
• On Jan. 7 at 1:35 p.m., a fraud (swindle) was reported in the 2100 block of South Cobb Drive.
• On Jan. 8 at 5:00 p.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 1500 block of Grace Meadows Lane.
• On Jan. 9 at 8:00 a.m., a theft of automobile was reported in the 1700 block of Napa Valley Court.
• On Jan. 9 at 9:23 a.m., a robbery (street, gun) was reported in the 1600 block of Roswell Street near the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue.
• On Jan. 9 at 12:00 p.m., a fraud (impersonation) was reported in the 3100 block of Ann Road.
• On Jan. 9 at 12:38 p.m., a larceny (from building) was reported in the 2300 block of Cobb Parkway.
• On Jan. 9 at 5:00 p.m., a larceny (articles from vehicle) was reported in the 2400 block of Cobb Parkway.
• On Jan. 9 at 5:45 p.m., a fraud (illegal use of credit/financial transaction card) was reported in the 2900 block of Strathmoor Road.
• On Jan. 10 at 7:45 a.m.,  a theft of automobile was reported in the 700 block of Woodlands Drive.
