Three Arrested in Smyrna Zaxby's Shooting

They were arrested Thursday afternoon.

Three people were arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a fatal shooting at a Smyrna-area Zaxby's.

About 2 p.m., investigators with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Desmond Mosby, 27, of Atlanta without incident at 1236 Liberty Pkwy. in Atlanta, Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren said in a statement. Gershom Joshua Brown, 27, of Marietta, was arrested at the Wildwood Ridge Apartments in Cobb, he said.

Nancy Bodiford, a spokeswoman with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, said "it is my understanding that a third suspect was arrested earlier today by Cobb PD."

Officer Mike Bowman with the Cobb County Police Department said investigators have also arrested and charged 29-year-old Kemanie Rhaburn of Englewood, Calif. He is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond on a murder charge.

Jarvis McNabb, 29, of Marietta, was shot in the parking lot of the restaurant at 5201 South Cobb Dr. about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Thursday morning.

He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Pierce said.

"Moments after the crime," he said, "witnesses reported seeing one male flee on foot and two other males flee onto South Cobb Drive in what was described as a red compact 4-door car."

Like Rhaburn, Mosby and Brown each face one count of murder, Warren said.

"They are currently being processed into the Cobb County Jail and have no bond," he said.
