Vinings-Area Convenience Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Incident took place early Friday morning.

Cobb police say a lone gunman robbed a Cobb Parkway BP station early Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Dana Pierce, the man entered the Vinings-area store, located at 3340 Cobb Parkway near the Chattahoochee River, at approximately 1:10 a.m.

He immediately pointed a handgun at the clerk, and after demanding and receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from the employee, the suspect fled from the store on foot in an unknown direction.

He is described as a “light skinned” male, possibly Hispanic, standing 5-foot-8 and with an average build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue mechanics outfit, a blue bandanna, which covered the lower part of his face, a blue “skull cap,” sunglasses and gloves. He was armed with a handgun.

There were no injuries reported. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call 770-499-3945.
