Warrant: Man Struck in Smyrna with Van

A Marietta man is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with intent to murder.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Marietta man who allegedly hit someone with a white 1999 Ford Windstar on purpose and drove away from the scene.

Jose Manuel Moctezuma was in the 800 block of South Cobb Drive about 3:13 p.m. Aug. 9 when he saw a man getting out of his wife's vehicle, according to an arrest warrant.

That is when he allegedly struck the man with the front passenger side of Windstar, according to the warrant.

While the man "managed to avoid serious injury," he told authorities that "he was in fear of his life and thought said accused was trying to kill him because he was helping said accused's wife move," according to the warrant.

Moctezuma is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with intent to murder.
